Quiet Joy, Baked into Everyday Life 

Happy Sky Bakery was inspired by my childhood memories of eating freshly baked bread under the open sky.
 

Growing up in Japan, my family valued a simple way of living, making everything by hand. Bread was always made from scratch — in winter resting by the warmth of the kotatsu, and in summer fermenting in cool, shaded corners.
 

In Japan, bakeries are part of everyday life. After school, children gather in parks, sharing bread together.
 

That quiet, everyday joy is what inspires us.
 

At Happy Sky Bakery, we bake Japanese breads and pastries in London without unnecessary preservatives or additives — bread to be enjoyed as part of daily life.

Why we started our bakery?

Happy Sky Bakery began in 2008 with a simple idea: to bake bread we would feel happy serving to the people we love.

We believe good bread does not need unnecessary preservatives or additives.
Instead, we focus on honest baking, using carefully chosen ingredients and time-honoured methods.

From fillings like red bean paste and custard cream to our daily breads and pastries, everything is made in-house with care. We bake simply—with flour, eggs, milk, butter, and yeast—letting each ingredient speak for itself.

Our LOGO 

At the centre of our logo is a milk bottle, surrounded by two children.
Having started my bakery journey in the UK, I was inspired by the British coat of arms, with its lion and unicorn. In our logo, these symbols appear as two children dressed in lion and unicorn costumes, bringing together my life in Britain and the values I hold close.

The milk bottle represents nourishment and care, while the children reflect our wish to bake worry-free, preservative-free bread for the people we love—expressing our belief in gentle baking, made with attention, kindness, and respect for everyday life.
